The True Mancy
Being active has always been my thing. During my earlier years I played a plethora of sports including Volleyball and Martial Arts. I was a part of the track team and won many medals with my team.
I have used fitness as a way to motivate me and keep me structured throughout my life and also as a way to maintain a clear and stress free life. Through fitness, I’ve experienced brain changing effects of exercise and forged a meaningful connection to my body.

My Story
After working in finance for a few years the endless working hours/style made me gain a lot of weight and unsurprisingly, this affected my energy levels, sleep patterns, mood, focus and decision-making.
I enrolled on a nutrition course and made many changes to my eating habits. The food on my plate was getting healthier but my lifestyle was still hectic - constantly rushing between meetings and events with no time for myself. I realised that you can eat all the kale and spinach in the world but you won’t be healthy if your personal and professional life is unbalanced.
I’ve been always trying to find a way to reduce my stress level and I knew I had to find something that not only made me strong inside and out but something that brings joy, made me feel confident and also sustainable. I’ve tried different exercises but I found the repetition of working out counting down the seconds mindless because the mind was not connected to the body.
Me and yoga
Luckily, I found yoga.
I didn’t know how or why, but yoga made me feel differently. Together with breath work, it made me work on those things I was trying to avoid: My true feelings; what I like and dislike. I started small, first dedicating hours, days, and then years to practise; connecting to those feelings without a promise of results or change.
I felt inspired and my body felt great after yoga and I could finally breathe. Breathing is a powerful tool to control the nervous system and influence different states, such as energetic or calm.
I’ve been on a health journey myself that led me to seek more balance and joy in my life, which is why I'm so passionate about helping people to embark on their own journey of self-discovery and to help encourage positivity and love.
